Tracking & Tracing
The time is gone, when we could only physically monitor cargo and/or vehicles. Today electronics and technology play an important role and these are now part and parcel of our expertise. GPS technology, telemetrics, digital video, WiFi, GPRS and Bluetooth are not just familiar words for AGS-FreightWatch. We have our own R&D department that specialises in the development of customized GPS tracking & tracing systems.
For many reasons it may not always be desirable to have a transport escorted by an escort vehicle. To ensure security in these situations, you might consider using a tracking system from AGS-FreightWatch, developed and produced in-house. These Tracking & Tracing systems can take the form of a fixed unit, placed in the cargo. Another possibility is to equip one of your existing product packages with such a system and then discreetly include this in the rest of the cargo. This means that the transmitter cannot be identified as such. As soon as the cargo has left the point of departure, our ESMC control room can follow it anywhere in Europe with locating technology like GPS, GSM-LBS, RFID and radio beacons.
In order to guarantee an excellent pan-European coverage, AGS-FreightWatch collaborates with the European Security Monitoring Centre. This organisation is specialised in seamless integration of the services of European control rooms for tracking & tracing systems. This guarantees monitoring of your cargo wherever it is being moved, but also ensures prompt emergency response in case of an incident. Real-time 24x7 monitoring limits the (consequential) damage for all parties within the supply chain such as manufacturers, transport companies and insurance companies.
This technology can be implemented for individual cargoes, but can also be used for persons, equipment, machinery, vessels and vehicles. This enables ASG-FreightWatch to offer the appropriate solution for every project.
However, security is not the only reason for choosing GPS tracking & tracing. The system also allows you to monitor the position and the status of your cargo by means of a secured web site. This means you know exactly if the shipment will be delivered on time, or if there will be a delay. That in turn means you can deploy your staff and other resources more efficiently, leading to considerable cost savings. All these considerations are part of possibilities the electronic surveillance services AGS-Freightwatch has to offer. |
